Affiliations and Membership

        

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 by TATA trust.  Today, the TISS is a Government of India Institution and has earned recognition as an Institution of Repute from different Ministries of the Government of India, various State Governments, international agencies such as the United Nations, and the non-government sector, both national and international. TISS is a centrally funded public university, and the Government of India provides the Institute’s Plan and Maintenance Grants. It operates from four campuses located in Mumbai and Tuljapur in Maharashtra, Guwahati and Hyderabad. School of Vocational Education, established at the request of MHRD with funding from AICTE.

NBA Group of Institutions is a training hub partner of TISS-SVE. Under the Work Integrated Training Programme, it offers Bachelor of Vocational Degree (B.Voc) in Journalism of Tata Institute of Social Sciences – School of Vocational Education.

Media and Entertainment Skill Council (MESC) is a Not-for-Profit Organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.The Council has been promoted by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) with financial support from National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). MESC (FICCI) has a mandate to create 11.74 lakhs skilled workforce by 2022 and contribute to the National Skill Mission of creating 500 million skilled workforce by 2022.

NBA offers Video Editing Course affiliated to MESC to the undergraduate students. It involves hands on training in Video editing making students industry ready to work in production houses and T.V. Channels. An intensive semester long programme is offered in Apple Machines.  Students are given practical training in software like FCP and Adobe Premier.

Retailers Association’s Skill Council of India

RASCI is a not-for-profit, independent public limited organization established under Section 25 of the Companies Act.

RASCI is a collaborative and comprehensive source of retail expertise and independent advice for industry, training organizations, educational institutions, certifying bodies, employees, students or jobseekers about skills development in the retail industry.

Telecom Sector Skill Council

The Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) is a Non-Profit Organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. They are an industry led apex body, jointly set up by The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), Indian Cellular Association (ICA) & Telecom Centres of Excellence (TCOE) to ensure adequate availability of skilled manpower to boost growth and productivity in the Telecom Sector.  Indian Telecom sector has emerged as one of the greatest economic success stories, registering a consistent overall growth rate of more than 35% over the past decade in terms of subscribers Further, the annual mobile handset sales are expected to cross 200 million units mark this year and India is fast becoming a manufacturing hub for the Telecom infrastructure equipment.

With m-governance, m-commerce, m-education, m-health, online shopping, m-gaming, m2m communications & many such new innovations, Telecom is set to increasingly permeate the lives of common Indians in coming years. The Indian Telecom success story would continue with 3G/4G networks and smart phones, besides focusing on the under-penetrated rural markets. This dynamic sector, employs close to 2.8 million people directly and almost another 7 million indirectly, making it one of the largest employment generating sectors in the country. of the Telecom industry.

IT-ITeS Sector Skill Council

The IT-ITES SSC has been formed in partnership between NASSCOM and Nation Skill Development Council (NSDC) for the common purpose of workforce development of the IT and ITES industry sectors.

The goal of the IT-ITES SSC is to create a sustainable industry ready talent pipeline by scaling quality capacity and to enhance employability at all levels, leveraging technology and our experience in large scale skill development, in a sustainable manner across skill sectors. The Sector Skill Council concept is a systemic approach to scaling quality capacity. The IT-ITeS SSC aims to nurture diversity and inclusive growth to stimulate economic activity relevant to local the local ecosystem.

Guru Jambheshwar University:

The Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar, was established on October 20, 1995 by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana. The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) for recognition of degrees on 11.1.1996 and under section 12(B) of the UGC Act to be eligible for central assistance on 7.2.1997. The University has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), in 2002 as grade ‘A’ and has been re-accredited as grade ‘A’ with (CGPA 3.26), in 2009.
